Work Toward a Brighter Future

Employment services at the Clubhouse are designed to support members in every stage of their vocational journey—from exploring interests to securing and sustaining meaningful work. Through Transitional Employment (TE), Supported Employment, and Independent Employment programs, members gain access to real-world job opportunities with built-in support from Clubhouse staff.

Members receive help with resume writing, interview preparation, job searching, and goal setting. The Clubhouse also partners with local employers to create placements tailored to members’ strengths and needs. Whether someone is returning to work after a break or entering the workforce for the first time, employment services offer guidance, encouragement, and hands-on experience to build confidence and independence.
Competitive Employment
Competitive Employment in the Clubhouse model refers to jobs in the open labor market where members are hired and paid directly by an employer, earning the same wages and benefits as any other employee. These positions are not arranged or managed by the Clubhouse, and members work independently without ongoing staff support.
supported employment
The Clubhouse helps with job development, applications, and interviews, and provides follow-along support once the member is hired. This service is tailored to each individual’s needs, helping them succeed and grow in their chosen role while maintaining a connection to the Clubhouse community.
transitional employment
These positions are secured by the Clubhouse and guaranteed to be filled by a member, with staff providing training, backup, and on-site support as needed.
TE jobs typically last 6 to 9 months and are paid at competitive wages. They help members build confidence, develop work skills, and establish a routine, all while knowing the Clubhouse is there to support them every step of the way.
